System Builders and Vendors honored with Peak Performer Awards
at System Builder Summit Spring 2002 Event
Portland, OR, March 28, 2002 — The leading system builders from North America were recognized for their achievements at the recent System Builder Summit Spring 2002, held March 10-13 at the Westin Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. At the Summit, vendor companies were honored for their technology innovation and channel strategies, and system builders were recognized for their leadership and service during the Peak Performer Awards ceremony and formal dinner. For the past three years the Peak Performer Awards have been acknowledged as the white box channel’s leading honors.
The vendor award winners were voted on by the prequalified audience of system builder executives invited to attend System Builder Summit Spring 2002 to preview and learn about new technologies, products and services while assessing potential partnership opportunities at the event’s Private Boardroom Appointments and World Premieres. These focused presentations are an integral part of the decision-making process that white box builders undertake in order build systems and expand their businesses.
“The Peak Performer Awards are notable because vendor and system builder nominees and winners are recognized by their peers and partners in the channel," said Janet Pfeifer, event director for System Builder Summit. "System Builder Summit is the premier industry event focused exclusively on the white box market, and the awards are a testament to the leadership and innovation represented by this audience."
The winners of the Spring 2002 Peak Performer Awards were as follows:
- Best System Builder Program or Promotion – Intel Corporation
- Best Overall Presentation – Phoenix Technologies
- Best Product/Hardware – Intel Corporation
- Best Product/Software – Phoenix Technologies
- Best Service Provider – Warranty Corporation of America
System builders were also recognized with Peak Performer Awards. To receive a nomination, invited system builders submitted detailed statements highlighting their achievements in four categories. The winners were chosen by the Summit awards advisory committee. The award categories/winners were:
- Business of the Year – Promicro Systems, Poway, CA
- New Business Achievement – Learning Systems Technologies, Hokes Bluff, AL
- Customer Care – Worldnet Computers, Aliso Viejo, CA
- Community Service – Mach Speed Technologies, Ada, OK
