200 Regional Market Leaders Represent 44% of all White Box Systems Sold in North America

Fall 2000 Primary Research Survey Results Released

Portland, OR, November 28, 2000 - Less than 1% of the nearly 30,000 white box solution providers build 44% of all the unbranded systems and servers sold in North America, announced Vision Events today. These key findings are based on a recent primary research survey conducted in conjunction with attendees of the System Builder Summit Fall 2000 event. The study is commissioned to provide the industry with market intelligence on the system builder channel, and is conducted by COHESION, an independent channel marketing agency.

"This Fall’s survey shows a number of key trends in addition to the fact that these 200 regional market leaders account for annual sales of more than 2.5 million systems", said Bill Booth, President, Technology Event Management. "For the first time since we’ve commissioned the survey, e-commerce and networking have become the top solutions sold by system builders, with substantial growth in design and servicing of large networks. These system builders are succeeding through a range of opportunities beyond the box," he added.

System Builder Summit extends invitations to the regional market leaders in the system builder channel only. The Spring 2001 event, March 4-7th, takes place at the Renaissance Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida where a select group of 200 attendees from the U.S. and Canada will meet with technology vendors, international distributors, and service providers.
