VENDORS
This FAQ section is designed to answer the most common questions from IT Vendors about the format, programs, networking events and business advantages of IT ChannelVision: Government Edition.
Why is Government Solution Summit now named IT ChannelVision: Government Edition?
IT ChannelVision: Government Edition is the same premier event for the government IT channel, newly named to reflect its alignment with the IT channel and the established IT ChannelVision brand and event experience. IT ChannelVision: Government Edition will still host senior level IT Solution Providers and allow you to build relationships with them through the proven Gartner format.
What opportunities do we have to build partnerships with IT Solution Providers?
Every component of the three-day Event is designed to maximize your exposure to and interaction with the Solution Provider audience.
At a World Premier Presentation, you can address all IT Solution Providers at one time in an exclusive, theatre-style presentation.
In Private Boardroom Appointments, you have the opportunity to present in a private meeting room with a guaranteed audience of 8 to 10 IT Solution Providers to discuss the benefits that your IT solutions and channel program have to offer.
Solutions Central offers a forum for Vendors to meet with attendees to discuss partnerships and programs in-depth and is designed to maximize networking opportunities in an informal business venue.
At Peer Exchanges, IT Solution Providers and Vendors share ideas, give advice, and build relationships in roundtable discussions focused on top-of-mind issues.
Through Marketing Promotional opportunities, which can be customized to meet your company's objectives, you can maximize your visibility throughout the Event. Additionally, evenings offer numerous opportunities to interact with Solution Providers in social settings.
Who should attend from our company, and what type of information should we present?
The IT Solution Providers invited to IT ChannelVision: Government Edition will be senior-level Decision-Makers. Therefore, we strongly recommend that your company representatives are also senior-level and capable of building alliances and partnerships on-site with this qualified audience. We encourage you to develop an innovative presentation that allows for interaction and feedback between you and this high-level audience.
What makes this event different from other government events?
Advantageous timing
IT ChannelVision: Government Edition is the first Event totally focused on driving business in the federal IT channel - at a time when the government is projected to be the fastest growing market. The Event will be held in November after the "fulfillment craze" and before budgets are finalized for the upcoming year. This is the best time for Solution Providers to focus on the partnerships, technologies and products, they need for the year ahead.
Gartner Analysts
IT ChannelVision: Government Edition will share research and expertise from Gartner through General Session presentations.
Qualified Audience
Unlike other industry events, IT ChannelVision: Government Edition will invite pre-qualified attendees. This not only ensures a unique and high-level invitation-only audience of key Decision-Makers for boardroom presentations, but Vendors will also have a chance to preschedule One-on-One Meetings and maximize their business opportunities during the Event.
Will Vendors have access to Gartner expertise?
Vendors will benefit from Gartner expertise through General Sessions based on research that is presented by a select group of analysts throughout IT ChannelVision: Government Edition. Additionally, we offer Vendors access on-site to One-on-One Meetings with Gartner analysts to discuss market issues unique to their organizations.
Why have we added a State and Local Government focus to the event?
The addition of the State and Local Government tracks to the traditionally federally focused Event is a direct result of the growth and opportunities in the market. Currently State and Local sectors are being re-energized and experiencing over 6% growth with IT spend expected to reach $52 billion by 2008. With these added opportunities, Vendor participants can now reach the entire government IT channel in one place.
How and why does Gartner attract and host Solution Providers?
Our dedicated Audience Acquisition Team reaches out to Solution Providers via phone and face-to-face meetings. Prior to the Event, we are in constant contact with these premier channel Decision Makers in order to help facilitate their personal productivity during their Event experience. Our Event invitation list is created based on input from Gartner analysts in the government space, leading Vendors, event partners, as well as our own proprietary market research.
The invited target audience includes qualified Senior level Decision Makers from mid to large IT Solution Providers focused on the federal, state and local sectors. There will also be representation from small disadvantaged businesses as well as from the top ten prime contractors. Invitees will include Resellers, Systems Integrators, and Total Solution Providers. Attendees will have responsibility for selecting and securing business partners in the channel.
Hosted Solution Providers prefer this event model because they attend Private Boardroom Appointments based upon their current technology needs and upcoming IT initiatives. They can also quickly create a short list of preferred Vendor partners for subsequent One-on-One discussions. These Senior Decision Makers can request to meet with specific Vendor companies- and Vendors can request to meet with particular Hosted Solution Providers.
What is the cost to present at IT ChannelVision: Government Edition?
Vendors may choose from several packages and sponsorship opportunities based on their needs and budget. IT ChannelVision: Government Edition limits the size of the Event and is expected to sell out. So sign up early! Contact your account executive for more information.
