Gartner Vision Events Announces Expanded Audience of Channel Executives for European IT Events in 2005
System Builder Summit Europe Spring to Host 240 Leading PC Assemblers; IT ChannelVision Europe to Debut this Fall with Audience of Eastern European System Builders and Europe’s Resellers, Distributors and Solution Providers
Egham, UK, January 31, 2005 – Gartner Vision Events today announced two European IT business events for 2005 that will include an expanded audience of Europe’s major channel Decision-Makers, as well as reflect new business dynamics taking place within the Pan-European technology marketplace.
System Builder Summit Europe Spring will take place 10-12 May, 2005 in Monte Carlo, Monaco and is expected to attract approximately 240 of Europe’s premier PC assemblers from over 20 countries. Attending System Builders will be responsible for more than a third of all European PC shipments, representing over 15 million desktops, notebooks and servers sold to clients across the entire European PC market.
Gartner also announced that a new event, IT ChannelVision Europe Fall, will take place 20-22 September, 2005 in Barcelona, Spain. IT ChannelVision Europe will feature the premier Eastern European System Builders as well as executive-level Decision-Makers within the European IT channel, including VARs (value-added resellers), VADs (value-added distributors) and total solution providers.
This new audience reflects several growth trends for the European IT market, including the increasing opportunities of Channel growth across Eastern Europe and the growing vertical business segments targeted by European resellers, distributors and total solution providers, including healthcare, government, manufacturing, education and more.
“This is an advantageous time for doing business in Europe,” said Eric Lesonsky, Senior Global Director for Gartner Vision Events. “The EU has opened up the ability to conduct true Pan-European business. Sales for digital consumer and business products are on the rise. Resellers and solution providers are increasingly serving common customers and markets. This is a reflection of the synergies and opportunities happening across the channel.”
At both System Builder Summit Spring and IT ChannelVision Fall, channel executives will meet with leading and emerging vendors from all areas of the IT industry to build collaborative partnerships and preview new products and programmes. The business-intensive format features private boardroom and one-on-meetings between buyers and sellers, European Premieres featuring new product announcements, industry insight sessions from Gartner analysts, and networking programmes that include industry awards voted on by participating attendees.
Qualified European System Builders, VARs, VADs and Solution Providers attend by invitation only. For further information, contact Gemma Walker at gemma.walker@gartner.com or +44 (0)1784 268519.
